if you ever have the time and means, do hear the pride and prejudice movie soundtrack. the music is ethereal.

my mum's quite smitten with the movie. she's re-watching it as i type. do take notice of what time i typed this.

if you caught the movie, and liked it, you should read the book. and vice versa. it's a witty fairytale set in the victorian age. and i mean it is a fairytale, so it's definitely a novel suited to girls. but far more than that, the book's also a commentary on social status and marriage in those times. the contrast between the lives of ladies today and the ladies back is quite stark, in terms of lifestyle, privileges and so on. and yes, as the title suggests, the book shares some insight on how we can sometimes be too caught up with first impressions that we fail to see who they really are.

the past week, i have been meeting people, helping out at home, watching movies/tv, letting my fingers have runs on the piano, and doing a lot of researching, meditating and reading. the last time i had so much time to read was after o levels.

i had my medical check-up today. it was very short, but the waiting time was long. good thing i brought a book to read. i'll still have to go back for one little test next week though.

i have resolved to relax all i want until i leave for further studies. to have resolution and to relax is quite a contradiction i realise. but yes i am determined to take it easy, for i do not know when i'll next have such a long break, if ever i do.
